What is Steam Early Access? Steam Early Access allows you to get immediate access to games that are being developed with the community’s involvement. These are games that evolve as you play them, as you give feedback, and as the developers (that’s us!) update and add content. We (and Steam) like to think of games and game development as services that grow and evolve with the involvement of customers and the community. There have been a number of prominent titles that have embraced this model of development recently and found a lot of value in the process. When can I expect my Early Access Key? We expect to have the Early Access Keys available not too long after this survey is sent out. Will Early Access turn into a full-version when the game is released? Absolutely. If you select an Early Access version of the game (for Windows or Mac), you have a full license for the game - from the Early Access development period through the final, full-version release of the game (we’re currently targeting Fall of 2015 for the final release). I moved (or I’m moving) after I submitted my address during the campaign. Can I change my address? You will have an opportunity to enter your current address in the survey if we’ll be shipping any physical rewards to you. If you need to update your address after that, you can contact us with your current information. When will we be asked about the Immortalization and Hall of Fears rewards? We’d like our backers to take a peek at the Early Access version of the game to have a better idea of the layout of the Neurostalgia Institute and patients’ mindcape levels so that you’ll have a better idea of where you will want to be immortalized in the game. Can I request Immortalization in the game now? Sorry, but this reward was a first-come, first-served reward only available through the Kickstarter campaign. We may offer similar rewards to our loyal backers in the future, however. Where does the Tip Jar money go? Right back into the game. If you followed our Kickstarter campaign right up until the end, you know that we hit our goal, but never got to any of our stretch goals (new levels!). “Tips” will be treated just like additional pledges that will go to fund our team so that we can hopefully have a chance to make even more levels for Nevermind. Do I need to include shipping costs for my add-on? Yes, if your current reward tier does NOT include any physical goods, please make sure to add $15 for shipping ($25 international) to your pledge if you order any physical add-ons.
What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
