Latest Updates from Our Project:

Happy Thanksgiving!
over 9 years ago – Thu, Nov 24, 2016 at 03:44:21 PM

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to send a quick update because the Nevermind team is celebrating US Thanksgiving and we wanted to take the opportunity to say how grateful we are for everyone’s support throughout Nevermind’s journey!

As you know, Nevermind has come a very long way since it first began in 2011, and it is thanks to you that it is where it is today. Five levels, multi-platform support (including two VR platforms and soon to be available Xbox One support), compatibility with an array of heart rate sensors and web-cam-based biofeedback, and more. The team couldn't have done it without you and, for that, we are forever very thankful that so many amazing folks (like yourselves) have believed in us and the project.

Whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving today or are just enjoying your Thursday, we hope that you have a wonderful and safe day and remainder of the week.

With gratitude,
Erin & The Nevermind Team

And for anyone who may be having an especially stressful Thanksgiving - here’s Nevermind’s TableSim in action to hopefully help alleviate some of the holiday tension. :)

BIG Steam Update - 2 New Levels, Oculus, and Vive Support Available NOW!
over 9 years ago – Mon, Nov 21, 2016 at 10:17:40 AM

Hi Everyone!

I’m super excited to let you know that the 2 new levels, remastered “old” levels, Oculus and Vive support is ALL now available on Steam for as a FREE update!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/342260

The update should happen automatically when you next log into Steam. Give it a try! As always, if you run into any issues at all, please let us know at [email protected]!

As alluded to in our last update, the whole team has been working VERY hard on this and we can’t wait to hear what you think! Our small team will also be taking a much needed (and long overdue) rest for the US Thanksgiving holiday from Tue 11/22 - Tue 11/29. So if we’re a bit slow to respond during that time, rest assured that we’ll be back soon!

With gratitude!

Best,

Erin & the Nevermind Team

PS - To celebrate the update, Nevermind will be on sale for the next several days! Tell your friends and family! It makes a great Thanksgiving dinner conversation starter! :)

Nevermind End-of-Summer Update!
almost 10 years ago – Sun, Aug 28, 2016 at 11:42:21 PM

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer (or winter for our Southern Hemisphere friends)!

I apologize for the quietness on our end, I know it has been a while since our last update and that many of you are probably wondering how the new levels are coming along, where the physical rewards are, and if there are any updates on the Oculus Rift and Xbox One versions!

New Clients!

The new content is coming along really beautifully. I absolutely cannot wait to share them with you! When? We’re not ready to commit to an exact date yet, but we’ll still tracking exactly as planned for later this year. You’ll be sure to know as soon as we have more information available!

Physical Rewards!

I am so sorry and, frankly, embarrassed that we keep missing our estimated timeframes to send these out. You have been amazingly generous with your patience and I am so grateful for that. Here’s what’s going on.

The primary hold up at this point are the physical art books. The printer/publisher we originally planned to go with (Blue Canvas) is no longer operational, so we ended up having to spend much of late spring and early summer researching alternative options that would create the book at the quality level you deserve while not exceeding our originally planned budget. We finally think we have a good option, but the delay meant that we’re now having to coordinate all that while crunching on the new levels - which, with a tiny team like ours - has made for some slow going.

However, every hour I’m not spending on the new levels, I’m spending on making progress toward the physical rewards. I want to say that we’ll try to send them out by around late October. However, at the risk of jinxing things further, I’ll reserve committing to a timeline until everything is ready to be mailed out. Again, my deepest apologies for the continued delay.

Oculus Rift / Xbox One!

Everything for the new platforms is coming along well! In addition to the new levels, we’ve been making extensive updates to the game’s graphics and overall performance to ensure it can run optimally in VR - all updates that will also benefit all other versions of the game! Although we’re not ready to share any specific details just yet on specific launch dates - we will do so as soon as we feel confident that whatever dates we share are dates we can commit to.

You all are the best and I can’t say enough how excited I am about what we’ll be sharing with all of you soon enough!

With unending gratitude,
Erin & the Nevermind Team

An Exciting Update!
about 10 years ago – Thu, May 12, 2016 at 11:08:47 PM

Hi Everyone!

So! I know we’ve been quiet for a while, but we have some super exciting news and, as always, you’re amongst the very first to hear it!

Ready?

NEW CLIENTS!

I'm ultra excited to announce that we'll be creating two brand new Nevermind levels!

It goes without saying, but we are thrilled beyond words to be able to expand Nevermind by introducing two new Clients to the Neurostalgia Institute. While we already have a whole host of ideas regarding which of our currently designed levels we’re going to build, there will be, nonetheless, a lot of work ahead of us for the next several months. We can’t wait to share some of the pre-production materials as they are completed!

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR THE PHYSICAL REWARDS / VR RELEASE / XBOX VERSION?

Don’t worry, the physical rewards are still in the works and will be going out soon.

However, since we want to make sure that we release both the VR and Xbox One versions of the game with the full compliment of available content, we will, as a result, be delaying the release of Nevermind on those platforms until later this year.

Despite the excitement for significantly more content, I understand that the continued delays may come as a great disappointment to many of you. However, we’re confident that the addition of the new levels will make the little bit of an extra wait completely worth it!

WHERE WILL WE FIND THE NEW LEVELS?

In case you were wondering, the two new levels will effectively become part of the full game - so those who have already downloaded/purchased Nevermind for Win/Mac will be automatically receiving those levels FOR FREE when we make them available on Steam.

Although we would love to share more details regarding level specifics, release dates and the like, we’re still in the early stages of getting everything sorted out, so we unfortunately won’t have too much to share in the immediate future. That said, rest assured that as soon as we’re ready to say more, we’ll let everyone know. As always, we’ll be working as hard and as fast as we can to make Nevermind the best it can be to ensure that it is 100% worth the wait. Thank you all for your tireless support and patience throughout this process. Without you we wouldn’t be in this position and - as always - we can’t thank you enough.

With that, onwards to the new Clients!

With gratitude and excitement,
Erin & the Nevermind Team

Quick Oculus Rift Update
about 10 years ago – Sat, Apr 02, 2016 at 10:46:15 PM

Hi everyone!

We’re SO excited that the Oculus Rift is now out and in the wild!!!!

...you know what that means - Nevermind for the Oculus Rift will be out soon! The Oculus version of Nevermind is midway through the submission process for the Oculus store and, as part of that, we’ve been working out a few final kinks as they’ve come up. As such, we don’t want to promise a time frame just yet, but we’re hopeful that it will be pretty soon!

We’re super excited to enter into this new dimension for Nevermind! :D
