Latest Updates from Our Project:

Almost here!
over 10 years ago – Tue, Sep 29, 2015 at 11:06:53 AM

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know that Nevermind’s big launch is almost here! Once the officially launched version is live on Steam, we’ll let you know! It goes without saying, but we are all incredibly excited to be celebrating this event with all of you!

SOUNDTRACK

We’ll be launching the Nevermind Original Soundtrack on Steam - possibly as soon as tomorrow! As soon as we do, we’ll send a download code to anyone who backed at a level (or included an add-on) that includes the soundtrack. The codes will be sent via BackerKit, so keep an eye out for an email from them. If you have any questions about downloading the soundtrack, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or BackerKit directly here https://www.backerkit.com/contact.

I was listening to the soundtrack earlier today and am so thrilled with how it turned out. Our Composer and Audio Director, Derek Baird, is so phenomenally talented. It’s testimony to the quality of the soundtrack that - even after having heard the game music about a billion times - I still loved listening to the entire album. I think you’ll all really enjoy it as well!

Alright! Stay tuned - tomorrow is going to be a big day!

Running on 10 cups of coffee and a dream,

Erin & the Nevermind Team

New Early Access Patch - Now With Immortalization Pieces and Hall of Fears (The Reliquary)
over 10 years ago – Sun, Sep 13, 2015 at 04:21:47 PM

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the multiple updates as of late.

First, I want to thank each of you for being so understanding and supportive about the recent announcement about the Xbox One delay! We feel so fortunate to have some of the best backers in the world and we promise that we won’t let you down. :)

New Update on Steam Early Access

Second, I wanted to let you know that a new patch has just been pushed to Nevermind on Early Access. This update contains several bug fixes and, more excitingly, all of the in-game digital rewards. For backers who pledged at a level entitling them to Immortalization or a Relic in the Hall of Fears and sent in their materials in by the deadline, you should see your in-game piece in this current build. The Hall of Fears is now being called the Reliquary and you’ll be able to find it in the Client Selection Screen within your Office Computer. If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to complete the IntroSim in order for the Reliquary to become unlocked. Check out a preview image of both at the bottom of this update!

If you can’t find your Relic or Immortalization piece and/or if anything looks amiss, please let us know! You can always email us directly at [email protected].

BackerKit Lockdown

Speaking of backer rewards, in preparation for Launch, we’re planning to lock down the BackerKit rewards at the end of the week. What does this mean for you? If you haven’t already grabbed any add-ons you were eyeing, now is the time to do so! After we lock it down, you will not be able to change your order. You can double check everything here:

http://nevermind.backerkit.com

That said, you will still be able to update your mailing address and contact info after we lock down. We’ll make sure to send out an announcement asking for everyone to double check their info before we start sending anything out later on down the road.

Cool Kickstarter Project

Finally, I wanted to share a currently active Kickstarter project that’s pretty cool. ”LET GO, An Indie Sci Fi Graphic Novel” is about the implications of near-future technology and its impact on everyday life. It’s created by a couple of talented friends of mine and, although they have already reached their goal, they’re hoping to hit a few stretch goals to be able to enhance the project further. Definitely worth checking out!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1604028306/let-go-an-indie-sci-fi-graphic-novel

That’s it for now but we’ll be posting more updates in the not too distant future! So, enjoy the rest of the weekend and you’ll be hearing from us again soon!

Best,

Erin & the Nevermind Team

Nevermind Launch Updates
over 10 years ago – Fri, Sep 11, 2015 at 05:07:56 PM

Hello all!

I’m writing with a few important updates on Nevermind’s launch timeline!

Mac and Win 8.1- Ahead of Schedule!

I’m excited to announce that we’re going to be launching the Win 8.1 and Mac version of Nevermind on Steam later this month! We’ll announce more details in the coming weeks.

We’re currently working on bringing Nevermind to Win 10. This version will be available at some point after the launch this month. Nevermind is unofficially supported on Win 7. This means that it generally should work just fine on Win 7, but there may be a few platform-specific bugs here and there that haven’t been caught. If you find any, let us know! You can email us at any time at [email protected].

Xbox One - Getting it Right!

Unfortunately, it’s looking like the Xbox One version of Nevermind won’t be ready this October. Development is coming along nicely on it, but we feel it needs some more time to meet our high-quality bar. So, instead of rushing it out, we’re going to keep focusing on making it the best Xbox One experience it can be and will be releasing it at a later date. Rest assured, it’s one of our top development priorities - once we have a bit more certainty regarding when exactly that might be, we’ll be sure to let you all know!

Oculus Rift - Waiting Until Everyone Can Play!

The Oculus Rift version of Nevermind will also have to wait until when the Oculus Rift itself is actually available to everyone (which will be Q1 of 2016). We’ll be using the extra time to continue the development and optimization of the Rift version of Nevermind to ensure it’s the best experience it can be in virtual reality.

Additional Sensors - This is Only the Beginning!

We will not be slowing down our R&D efforts to expand our list of supported sensors post-launch. We currently are, and will continue to remain, as dedicated as ever to our goal of trying to support as many heart rate sensors out there as possible. In fact, we are currently looking into a few options that might lead to very exciting things in this area. That’s all I’ll say about that for now. :)

New Content

Our vision for Nevermind is to continue to create new levels and content after launch and release those new levels on something akin to an episodic basis. Much will, of course, depend on how launch does, but all of the amazing support and feedback we’ve received throughout Early Access has us feeling pretty optimistic. We have tons of ideas for new levels and moments in the game that we CANNOT wait to share with everyone. Anything you can do to help spread the word at launch will lead directly back to more future Nevermind content!

Backer Rewards

We’re wrapping up integrating the final in-game rewards - which will be available in an upcoming update. The remaining digital and physical rewards (e.g. art book, soundtrack, t-shirt, concept art) are still a work in progress. In ensuring we’re focusing most of our efforts on the game itself, to be honest we’re running a little behind on those rewards because new music, art, etc. content kept coming in that we wanted to make sure we included. As such, they may not all be ready in time for October. For this I deeply apologize and, as a backer of many Kickstarter campaigns, can wholly empathize with any worry, disappointment, and frustration you may feel as a result. However, it does mean that the pieces will be that much more robust, varied, and have even more content for you to enjoy. Although delayed delivery is non-ideal, we feel everyone involved would rather the rewards be of the highest possible quality as opposed to feeling “rushed out the door”. I hope you continue to be as excited for these rewards as I am and, again, I apologize for the delay. I’ll keep you posted on when to expect them.

Ok! I think that’s it! Some great news, some good news, some news that may bum you out - but all in all, we are so thrilled about what’s in store for Nevermind in the months ahead!

So many great things are happening around the game and it’s all because of you and your support! Thank you so much for sticking with us on this journey and here’s to an amazing autumn ahead!

Gratefully,

Erin & the Nevermind Team
